KU-ed
What is KU? It's like a Knock Out (KO)... except with a U. That's right. We have been K-Ued. Still not sure what that is? It's like this-- every week at Grace's school they learn a letter. One letter every week. And on Friday a student brings in a snack that starts with that letter. So...K-U. That's right. These are the letters we have been stuck with. Below you will see my genius-- Kabobs... fruit kabobs made with blueberries, strawberries, grapes and drizzled with chocolate. We just found out that we are up again this month. With U. I guess we should be glad we didn't get Q. So here's the deal-- send in your ideas for a snack that starts with U. Winning prize= feature on our blog and great praise. Let the comments begin....

The fruit Kabobs are really great! I must admit that I googled this question... apparently this gets asked a lot :) Do you happen to have an unicorn or umbrella cookie cutter? You could do a cookie or use it to cut out cheese pieces. Or a bag of UTZ (cheese curls would be a hit :)
I googled too...
Unicorn horns - dip some pretzel sticks in yellow chocolate (assuming it's available - maybe color white chocolate yellow?), maybe roll in yellow sugar to give them a sparkly covering
US Flag Cake - that thing with the strawberries, blueberries, and cool whip
Upside down anything...cupcakes, cookies (shaped in a u would be cool)
Unicorn cupcakes?http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/u-is-for-unicorn-cupcake-686562/
Great job with the kabobs!!!
Love- Aunt Karlee
Even easier...uvas !!! (means grapes in spanish)

Can you buy ugli fruit in Florida? A cross between an orange and a grapefruit, but not sour like a grapefruit. The kids might think it's funny that ugly is in it's name!
LOVE the kabobs - genius use of straws - was it hard to get through the fruit, esp. blueberries? How does that work? (We have snack in a few weeks!)
What about underwater treats? Use blue jello in clear mini cups and there could be cut out fruit floating in it? Obviously I'm stretching.
Impressive kabobs! They look beautiful and yummy. "U" -- good luck with that one! Some good ideas here. Love, Mom
