It's been quite a busy weekend. LeAnne, Cory and Reuben came down Saturday evening and brought with them the baby furniture. (I was surprised how big it was. Chances are it probably would not have fit in the van, so it worked out that they had a truck and were willing to bring it down.) We thought we would just get the furniture from them and hang out. (It was LeAnne's birthday after all). But LeAnne and Cory were anxious to get started on the nursery. So, after a quick and fun trip to a cool toy store nearby (if you've never seen an "Airzooka" you should really try one out, it's a lot of fun) and a birthday dinner of Chinese food, we headed to Lowe's to pick out some paint. With LeAnne's artful eye, we decided on a color called "Golden Butter", not too bright, but not too pale either. Just right... as Goldilocks would say.
But we'll let you guys be the judge. Here are a few pics of us painting (Jenelle is missing in the photos because she had to vacate the area because of the paint fumes... but she made us cookies and chip dip while we painted).
