Here is the latest news from Keith, Chad's cousin, about the twins- now 35 weeks! This is a picture of Big Sister Kylie getting to hold her siblings for the first time!"Providing tonight and tomorrow remain incident free (fingers crossed, prayers said), it appears very likely that Andrew will be celebrating July 4th at home with us!
Andrew has gone 3 consecutive days with taking 100% of his feedings by bottle (his feeding tube was actually removed 2 days ago). The car seat test was performed yesterday and he passed with no issues. The doctors are trying him on a portable monitor today/tomorrow and evaluating his progress to see if he'll be coming home with or without a monitor. As of tonight, Andrew's weight is 5lbs, 8oz.

Sarah is still doing extremely well in her own right. We've been reminded that the suck-swallow-breathe reflexes don't kick in until 35 weeks, typically, and Sarah & Andrew just turned 35 weeks today. Sarah is steadily gaining weight (up to 4lbs, 11oz as of last night) and is making noticeable improvement with taking bottles (she took 49% via bottle yesterday, 74% the day before). The NICU has estimated that she's probably only a week behind Andrew at this point.
We were relieved to learn that we are permitted to bring Andrew with us when we come to visit Sarah. The NICU believes it will do them both good to hear each other (hopefully the twins share the same sentiment!)."
